Erica Fischer founded Kids Immersion, LLC in 2006 as a company focused on language learning. She envisioned creating programs where she could effectively communicate her love of experiencing languages and cultures to children. She recruited a dynamic team of talented teachers, artists, musicians and editors to develop Calico Spanish.
Hours of hands-on experiences teaching Spanish and the understanding of research-based, best practices in language learning methodologies were poured into what is now Calico Spanish!
Here at Kids Immersion, we strive daily to provide quality, immersion-based curriculum so that children learn Spanish and enjoy their exposure to other cultures through fun, memorable lessons.
Through their Spanish language skills, Erica and her family have been rewarded with friendships across the Spanish-speaking world including Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, Argentina and Spain. They are living proof that languages open doors to cultures, friendships and lots of laughter!
